EMR Awarded Over $33 Million in Design/Build and Construction Management Projects for FY2010

10/30/2009

The six awards for FY 2010 build upon the success of recent DOS design/build and construction management projects. EMR has extensive experience providing specialized design/build, construction management, and architect/engineering services that include on-site organization and management, project coordination and scheduling, quality assurance and quality control, cost estimating, safety program development and implementation, and project close-out activities.

This know-how is being applied to American embassy and consulate facilities worldwide, each of which has unique and important considerations such as security concerns, historical preservation concerns, special tenant requirements, need for customized, special order physical security components, etc.

The projects awarded to EMR this fiscal year by DOS/OBO and ACG/RSPO are:

  • FY09 Major Rehabilitation Project Phase I, U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany – installation of fire protection systems, HVAC systems, site drainage and landscaping.
  • Construction of New Consular Annex (CAX) and Perimeter Security Upgrades (PSU), U.S. Embassy, Podgorica, Montenegro.
